Making friends as an adult is hard. Moving to a new city, changing jobs, or simply having friends with different schedules can leave you sitting out the things you'd love to do.
We built Plus 1 Social Club around plans, not small talk. Instead of chatting endlessly, you match with someone around an event you both want to go to.
How it started
This idea comes from Ziad Youssef. He is a local injury lawyer in Bellingham, WA. He found himself looking for an app that gave him the opportunity to meet people while trying new hobbies, and came to the realization that that kind of platform did not exist yet.
So, he decided to pitch his idea to the WWU computer science department, and a group of three students started to work on this project. They found themselves with the same realization that it is tough to find people to attend networking, school, or social events with.
Now this platform as turned into what you see today.
